After much controversy, hue and cry, finally the UPA nominee Pratibha Patil, a veteran congress leader from Maharashtra was declared elected as the new President of the Republic of India. She won by a margin of more than three lakh votes. Some may welcome, some may grudge and some are frustrated in their effort to stop her, but sure there's one person gonna smile all the way. Sonia Gandhi the unnamed most powerful lady not only in the Government but in the entire country today and she steals the show yet again.
Even when the leftists tried to put their own terms for the Presidential Elections, their support may raise many eyebrows in their own backyard in the next assembly elections surely. Finally who's the winner all the way, beyond doubt it's Sonia again. You love it or have it, you've to take it, she's there all over and just take a look at her company in the vengence to NDA...Lalu Prasad, Mayawati, Arjun Singh...should we count more...They're all powerful today and they've got their trophy "Chief of the State" in the guise of the First Woman President in the largest democracy in the world.
Many have voted the outgoing VP, many had to support the UPA nominee just to remain in the power equation, new allies joined in greed, some caught in the crossroads in their fundamentalist principles to support a home candidate or a long term ally and many abstained...Still here's the winner and that's what only matters...
I've just only one simple question in my mind, in case Hillary Clinton, becomes the President of the United States next year, is our President any match to her??? With all the regards to the citizens of India,
Cheers Sonia!!!

India Post Thumping Win
India won the Future Cup series at Ireland against South Africa 2-1, defeating the proteas by six wickets in the third and Final encounter last night.
Yuvraj Singh scored brilliant 61 with the Man of the Match and Rahul(36) and Dhoni(14) supported him well. The bowlers did excellent job restricting the South Africans to 148 for 7 in 31 Overs (Match shortened due to Rain). Ajit Agarkar and Sourav took two wickets each. Justin Kemp was highest scorer (61) for SA.
Sachin was undisputed Man of the Series with two Nineties in the series, but he preferred to share the award with Yuvraj, who remained unbeaten in last two innings with match winning roles
This series will be a tremendous morale booster for a team being criticized highly for their poor show in World Cup and playing without a Coach.
